#13 · Accurate lint severity and fresh waveforms

The companion offers an explicit lint-shim setup command. Icarus's specific constant-select sorry diagnostic becomes a warning; syntax errors, other diagnostics and exit codes remain intact. The prior global setting is restored only when dewfpga owns the current value; workspace overrides and user changes are preserved. Symlink, hard-link and copied-shim recursion cases are covered.

A successful simulation task opens a new or changed VCD directly in its working project root. Before/after file identity, nanosecond timestamps and small-file hashes prevent unchanged old waveforms from opening, including same-second cases. The installed Verilog extension declares a default VCD viewer; actual GUI opening remains unverified. Nested or absolute dumpfile destinations are not discovered automatically.

The top chooser uses the real Quick Pick lifecycle, remembers choices per project and cancels the task on Escape. The companion suite passed 35, failed 0, skipped 0 in the integrated tree. These extension features share the #12 installation and ownership boundary and are committed together. Full CLI acceptance passed 269/0 with 52 known gaps. Remote CI passed for the combined integration.
