NEW.xpr:1: ERROR [vivado-project-unreadable]

The diagnostic contains vivado-project-unreadable. File paths, line numbers and the detailed reason depend on the project or editor configuration; read the complete line printed by the command.

Why does it happen?

A truncated or manually edited .xpr cannot supply a reliable source list. The CLI stops instead of guessing from nearby files.

What is the fix?

Open and save a valid project in Vivado, or restore the .xpr from its backup. A flat copy must be outside the original project tree.
