NEW.xpr:11: ERROR [vivado-file-missing]: NEW.xpr lists $PPRDIR/../archive/counter2.sv (../archive/counter2.sv), and that file is not there.

The diagnostic contains vivado-file-missing. File paths, line numbers and the detailed reason depend on the project or editor configuration; read the complete line printed by the command.

Why does it happen?

The .xpr is authoritative. A file copied from another machine, omitted from Git, moved, or deleted can still be listed by the project.

What is the fix?

Restore the named file, or remove its entry through Vivado and save the project. To use a flat layout instead, copy the files to a directory outside the project tree; running inside .srcs still discovers the parent project.
