ERROR [command-timeout] appears as a JSON diagnostic with exit 124.
Why does it happen?
The command took longer than the selected timeout. A stalled simulation, slow build or disconnected programmer can require investigation.
What is the fix?
Read log.tail and log.path. Fix an unbounded testbench or tool problem first. If the command is making progress, retry with a larger limit, for example dewfpga bit --json --timeout=1200.
